The Olinda Education Enrichment Fund, formerly known as the Direct Drive, is the main source of supplemental funding for our school. Every dollar contributed directly benefits each child at our school. Without your generous donations, our children would not receive supplemental programs and additional material assistance. All donations are tax deductible. The Olinda PTA is a 501(C)(3) organization. Questions? Contact Gladys Dodds at gladysdodds@olindapta.com or 510-691-1007

Testimonials:
“Thanks to the Olinda Education Enrichment Fund, I’ve had the good fortune to offer my students enriching and engaging activities and programs that they would not have otherwise had. The funds contributed make it possible for students and teachers to connect and extend learning experiences beyond the basics of our everyday curriculum. As a teacher, I appreciate the opportunity to learn different ways to present concepts to my students. I’ve taken bits and pieces of the things I’ve learned from these programs and incorporated them into my own teaching.”
Mrs.Claudia Velez, 2nd Grade
“School funding has changed since we were children. Unfortunately, here in the State of California, state funds do not adequately cover the real cost of public education, so we look to parent and community support to fund programs that are considered integral to a basic, well-rounded education. The state does mandate specific curriculum and instruction, yet it does not provide the necessary resources. We are very fortunate to have a school community where our parents' generosity enables us to close the gap and meet the children's educational needs. Due to this generosity, my third grade students have been able to receive art, music, drama instruction as well as take trips to the Opera House, the Symphony, and the Theater.”

Can I have my friends and family donors send their donations directly to the school? However, if you prefer to just have them mail it directly to the school, please make sure you fill in the information of your child on the pledge forms and ask your donors to attach the forms to their check. They can then send the check in to the address on the slip. Q. Are there incentives as in the past?
